THE LAND

Château les Crostes : Vignerons Indépendants, a passion from vine to bottle.

Being an independent winemaker at Château les Crostes is more than just a job: it's a commitment. We are committed to controlling every stage in the production of our wines, from planting the vines to bottling, while respecting our terroir and our values.

It all starts with our vines. Each vine is planted, cultivated and maintained by us. We don't buy any grapes from outside, preferring only those grown on our own estate, thus guaranteeing the perfect traceability of our products. This autonomy enables us to produce unique wines that express the full richness of our terroir in Provence.

Our expertise continues in the cellar: vinification. We transform our grapes into wine, using rigorous methods to produce top-quality vintages. Every bottle that leaves our estate is the fruit of our labor.

By choosing a Château les Crostes wine, you're supporting not only a family estate, but also a philosophy based on authenticity, independence and a love of a job well done.

ECOLOGICAL COMMITMENT

Natural grassing

Connected traps for insect monitoring

Reducing chemical treatments

Total elimination of herbicides

High Environmental Value (HVE) certification

A commitment to the future

At Château les Crostes, we're committed to protecting our environment, whether it's the flora and fauna, our vines or our final product, the wine. Here are just a few of the ecological initiatives we've implemented to make our estate more sustainable while respecting the natural world around us.

We encourage natural grass cover between our vines. By maintaining a vegetation cover, we improve water management in our soils, as they better absorb water and retain moisture. It also limits erosion and stabilizes the soil. Grass cover also contributes to biodiversity, providing organic matter and encouraging the development of micro-organisms that are essential to soil health.

We have installed connected traps to monitor insect pests in real time. Using advanced algorithms, these traps automatically count insect pests, enabling us to act quickly if necessary. This method, combined with a cluster dipping technique, helps us to reduce, or even eliminate, the use of insecticides.

Our approach aims to reduce the use of phytosanitary products. Among other things, we use biocontrol techniques, which protect the vines while respecting the environment. Biocontrol enables us to preserve biodiversity, reduce the risk of pollution and guarantee the safety of people working on the estate, as well as consumers.

We have completely eliminated herbicides in favor of mechanical weeding methods. This technique removes weeds from around the vines in a more environmentally-friendly way.

We have been awarded the HVE label, which testifies to our commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. This certification guarantees that our production methods meet high standards in terms of protecting biodiversity and natural resources, while enhancing the quality of our wine.

We still have many projects underway, always guided by our desire to respect the earth and our environment. Every action we take is aimed at preserving nature for future generations, and producing a wine that reflects our commitment to sustainability.
